Request lab software

Duke faculty or staff may request software for any OIT computer lab.  To request installation of new software, follow these steps:

  1. Check to see if comparable software is already installed or is scheduled to be installed (per the software lists linked above).
  2. Read the installation guidelines.
  3. Fill out and submit the form below.
  4. Send the following items to Ben Clark, OIT-Student Technology Services, American Tobacco Complex, 334 Blackwell Street, Suite 2107.
    • Copy of license agreement
    • Copy of purchase order
    • Program media (CD, etc.)
    • Installation instructions
    • System requirements
    • Installation/technical support numbers

Software installation requests are handled as they are received. Priority will be given to those requests that support the academic program. Fall 2007 requests: Due to production schedules, new software requests must be received by Aug. 1 to be available for the first day of classes. All requests received after Aug. 1 will be fulfilled as time permits.

We can no longer process software requests for Mac software that requires OS 9 or Classic.
