Duke OIT - Brownbag Sessions

Upcoming Sessions:

IT Security: Back to the Future...

This presentation is a part of the Security Awareness campaign 2008-2009.
Presenter: Artem Kazantsev, Sr. Security Analyst
Date: Wednesday, September 10, 2008
Time: 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
Location: West Campus Room, ATC
Agenda: Current developments in technology, such as faster, multi-core
processors, faster and cheaper memory, cheaper hard drive space,
distributed and cloud computing -- all of that constantly change the
landscape of IT security. Our mindset is still in the past, while we
need to be prepared for future challenges today. But security is a
process without a silver bullet, so no "lightning bolt" will propel us
to the future. We have to get there ourselves...
