Welcome to the new website of Duke's Office of Information Technology. The new design was created to make it easy for you to get to the services you need.
OIT worked with Capstrat, a design firm based in Raleigh, to create the website’s new look. Bold colors, large buttons, and prominent help information dominate the design.
“The idea behind the new design is that technology doesn’t have to be scary,” said Rebecca Miller, an analyst in OIT’s Project Office, who is leading the redesign project. “The average user is hip, trendy, and technologically savvy. The website evokes that feel, that it’s fun and safe to come to OIT.”
The new design also unifies the vast amount of information stored on OIT’s website into a single template with consistent navigation. Throughout the site, a row of tabs allows users to navigate between services, such as Email & Messaging, Computing & Printing, and NetIDs & Security.
The homepage features three large buttons: “New to Duke,” “Need Help?” and “A-Z Services.” Below is a section for recent news and service outage announcements. Tour the new design and features.
