Cable repair

Duke provides 24-hour emergency telephone and cable TV repair service. Non-emergency repairs are handled during normal business hours. Before you call for repair, test your television equipment on another active outlet to determine if the trouble is with your TV. If the equipment works properly on another outlet, call for repair. A technician will be dispatched to investigate the trouble.

For repair service:

• Call 684-2200 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
• For after-hours emergencies, call 684-8020.
  

Note: If the malfunction is found to be a result of faulty customer equipment, OIT will assess a $75.00 service charge for the visit. OIT does not service customer-owned television equipment.

The communications outlet in your Duke dorm or apartment looks like the one below. Be sure you've connected your equipment (telephone, television, computer) to the appropriate outlet before calling for service.
