Using FileZilla

Download FileZilla

Logging into your account

1. In the FileZilla window click on File, then click on Site Manager.  Click New Site fill in the boxes as shown below:

Host: godzilla.acpub.duke.edu
Port: 22
Servertype: SFTP using SSH2
Logontype: Normal
User: your NetID
Password: NetID password

2. Click the Site Manager Icon. A window will appear, highlight the newly created FTP site and click Connect.
3. A window displaying a connection to the host computer will open.

Uploading files

In the host window, open the folder where you want to upload your files. (If you're uploading Web pages, save them to public_html.)

Drag and drop the desired file(s) from your local folder to the desired folder in the host window.

Downloading files

From the host window, drag and drop the selected file to the desktop.

Disconnecting from the remote host

1. Click the Disconnect icon on the tool bar at the top of the window
