Using Fugu

Logging into your account

1. In the Fugu window, fill in the boxes as shown below:

Connect to: godzilla.acpub.duke.edu
Username: your NetID
Port: (leave blank)
Directory: (leave blank to default to your home directory)

2. Click Connect. A window asking for your NetID password will appear.
3. Enter your NetID password, and click Authenticate.
4. A window displaying a connection to the host computer will open.

Uploading files

In the host window, open the folder where you want to upload your files. (If you're uploading Web pages, save them to public_html.)

Drag and drop the desired file(s) from your local folder to the desired folder in the host window.

Downloading files

From the host window, drag and drop the selected file to the desktop.

Using favorites

Favorites allow you to connect to a remote computer without having to type the host and login information each time.

1. Log into your account (from above).
2. Click Add to Favorites.
3. When logging in next time, just choose the drop down connection option pictured with a globe and select godzilla.acpub.duke.edu
4. Click Connect

Disconnecting from the remote host

1. Click the Disconnect icon on the tool bar at the top of the window
