Entourage Secure Email Setup

For new users

1. Open Entourage.

2. From the menu, select Tools > Accounts. The Accounts window will appear.

3. Click New. The account setup assistant will appear.

4. Enter your name. Click the right arrow to continue to the next screen. 

5. Enter your email address. Click the right arrow.

6. In the drop-down list labeled My incoming mail server is a(n), select IMAP. 

7. In the Incoming mail (POP, IMAP) server field, enter imap.duke.edu. 

8. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, enter smtp.duke.edu. Click the right arrow. 

9. In the Account ID field, enter your Duke NetID.

10. In the Password field, enter your NetID password. Click the right arrow.

11. In the Account name field, enter a descriptive name, for example, Duke Email Account.

12. Click Finish. The Accounts windows will reappear. 

Configure Entourage to use SSL

1. Highlight your Duke email account and select Edit. The Edit Account window will appear.

2. Select the button labeled Click here for advanced sending options. 

3. Check the box labeled This IMAP service requires a secure connection (SSL). 

4. Click OK. Close the Accounts window.
