OIT discourages the use of Blubster for the following reasons:

Unlike other p2p applications, Blubster is an executable file rather than a downloadable program that you install on your hard drive. Because there is no installation, Blubster does not create subdirectories on your computer. No installation also means Blubster cannot be uninstalled.

In addition, there is no disconnect option – once you're running the executable file you are continuously connected to the Blubster community for file transferring.
