How to disable uploading

NOTE: You should perform steps 1 and 2 every time you launch Mactella since the program reverts to the default setting when closed.

1. Select Search.

2. Clear the Enable Sharing check box.

3. Select Edit > Preferences > Connection.

4. In the Bandwidth Use section of the Connection Preferences window, move the Uploads slider all the way to the left.

5. Click the More settings arrow to expand this section.

6. In the Push Packets section, click Routed. (This option causes less traffic than the Broadcast option.)

7 . Click OK.

8. Select Edit > Preferences > Transfer.

9 . In the Transfer Preferences window, select the Queue Downloads check box. (This downloads one file at a time and reduces network traffic.)

10. Click OK.
