VPN Client for Mac OSX

Downloading and installing

You will need a Duke NetID to download the client.

1. Download the VPN Client for Macintosh OS X. Double-click the VPN Installer icon to start the install.

Configuration and use

1. The client is preconfigured for use and does not require configuration. Just select one of the existing profiles, which are listed below.

• duke-broadband – This is for users connecting via broadband.
• duke-dialup – This is for users connecting via a dial-up service.
• duke-wireless – This is for users connecting on the wireless network.

2. Click Connect to start your connection.
3. Log in using your NetID and password.
   
   

Note: If you use this VPN client to access AFP file shares, we recommend saving all work locally on your computer and copying files to AFP shares through the Finder. Some people using AFP with this client have reported panics of Mac OSX, causing an immediate shutdown. We are working to resolve this issue with the VPN client vendor.
