BlackBerry, Duke mail and calendar now in sync

Users of BlackBerries and a wide range of other mobile devices can now read their DukeMail email and consult dCal agendas. The expansion of the service, called NotifyLink, does not cover iPhones. (See Duke iPhone compatability page for more help with iPhones.)

Users of DukeMail and dCal must request NotifyLink accounts. NotifyLink periodically updates and synchronizes DukeMail and dCal using a special client installed on mobile data devices. Activities on these devices—for instance, new email and calendar changes—are sent back to the NotifyLink server so that DukeMail mailboxes and dCal calendar remain in sync.

Devices previously covered by NotifyLink will continue to be covered. More information including procedures for getting started and ensuring that a given device is NotifyLink-ready, can be found on the OIT NotifyLink Website.
