NotifyLink: Sync E-mail and Calendar with a Mobile Device

NotifyLink extends the DukeMail e-mail service, dCal calendar service and Exchange service to compatible mobile data devices including many models of BlackBerry, PalmOS, Symbian, Windows Mobile, and Apple devices.

Note: Our current version of NotifyLink is not fully compatible with the iPhone 3. iPhone 3 users will not have complete calendar sync. We are sorry for the inconvenience and are working through the issues associated with various work-arounds available to us.

Staying in sync

NotifyLink accounts are available upon request to DukeMail, dCal, and Exchange users. Once your account is created, you can configure your account to check your DukeMail and dCal data or Exchange data on your behalf and use NotifyLink to sync that data to your compatible mobile data device. Activity on your device such as new e-mail messages and changes to your calendar sync back to your DukeMail mailbox and dCal agenda or Exchange account via NotifyLink.

Security and privacy

NotifyLink provides security advantages for e-mail and calendar synchronization. When you use NotifyLink to sync your DukeMail, dCal, or Exchange data to your device, you never need to enter your NetID password on your device where it may be compromised if your device is ever lost or stolen. Plus, in the event that your device is lost or stolen, the OIT Service Desk can assist you with using NotifyLink to remotely wipe sensitive information from your device.
